Materials Accepted: Cans, Car batteries, Cardboard, Engine oil, Fridges & Freezers, *Furniture, Garden waste, Gas cylinders, Glass bottles & jars, Monitors & TVs, Paper, **Plastic bottles, Rubble & Soil, Scrap metal, Shoes, Tetrapaks, Textiles, White goods, Wood.

*Furniture and household goods (including bric-a brac) can be donated to Newstart Highland for reuse by using the separate containers provided. Please contact Newstart Highland directly on 01463 715615 or email james@newstarthighland.org

**Only bottles identified with a small triangle containing the number 1 or 2 will be accepted. Type 1 bottles (PET) are mainly used for fizzy drinks and Type 2 (HDPE) are used for milk and detergents.

Transport

Foot & Cycle: National Cycle Route 7 (Glasgow to Inverness) passes through Carrbridge (½ mile). Up Station Road for the 'off road' Route 7 to Slochd via Sluggan bridge.

Train: Carrbridge Station is ten minutes walk from village centre. See First ScotRail for times and timetable or National Rail Carrbridge Departure Board.

Bus: Local bus services by Rapsons. Services 15, 35, 36 and 136 stop in Carrbridge. See 'Strathspey and Badenoch Area' timetable.

Cycle Hire

Bike hire: Ian Bishop Cycles & Mountain Bike Centre (The Slochd). Mountain Bike Hire. 4 miles north of Carrbridge on National Cycle Route 7. Bothy Bikes mountain bike shop & hire ½ mile out of Aviemore, on the Cairngorm Ski road, Rothiemurchus.

Local Produce Shops

The Glebe Farm Shop - Boat of Garten
"The shop is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 6pm, selling beef, lamb, pork, wild venison, preserves and seasonal vegetables".
