With the transfer of ownership of the Cairngorm estate from HIE to Forestry Commission Scotland there are proposals to remove Coire-na-Ciste and West Wall chairlifts and the Aonach Poma leaving just the West Wall Poma in Coire-na-Ciste. The Fiacaill T-Bar is also to be removed. These lifts have been closed by stealth under claims that parts are not available (Good letters on subject: Doubt cast on ski claims, Coire-na-Ciste and West Wall chairlifts, Rethink on chairlifts needed, CGM reply: Customer feedback tells different story). Personal note: It seems CGML are more interested in tourists using the funicular (which is not much use for skiing) than coping with skiers from the experiences of the last few years..
